Scientific Pediatric Session by Etkin Eczacılık: Saffron in Focus

On April 18th, 2025, the Etkin Eczacılık Association hosted a professional development session titled “Current Approaches to Child Health and the Active Role of Pharmacists.” The keynote speaker, Specialist Dr. Ahmet Aydınalp, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the rational use of saffron extract in ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, supported by recent clinical findings.

Pharmacists and healthcare professionals attending the event showed significant interest in natural approaches to pediatric care. Dr. Aydınalp introduced data on microencapsulated forms of saffron, particularly Safr’Inside, highlighting its potential to support attention, emotional regulation, and sensory balance in children.

Participants openly voiced concerns about the long-term side effects of stimulant medications commonly used in ADHD. They welcomed the scientific exploration of saffron as a natural and safer alternative in pediatric neurodevelopmental conditions.
